Oceanside Hose Company No. 1, Inc. proudly protects 34000+/- people living in an area of 5.6 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.

Oceanside Hose Company # 1 is one of the six Companies comprising the Oceanside FD. Our organization date was April 6, 1906, which makes us the third company organized in our community. Hose 1 is located in the western portion of Oceanside, which though mostly residential, also has light industry and a large petroleum storage area which we respond first due to. Our membership numbers 38 and we are led by Captain Marciano. The Company has three pieces of apparatus assigned to it, and we respond from one fire station. The Company has adopted the nickname The Pride of Christian Hook, which was the name of our community in the early 1800's.
